December 25th is the only day of the year when the capital grinds to a halt (except for a few of the city’s kitchens, that is). On Christmas Day the shops are shut, public transport stops and London’s institutions and attractions keep their doors firmly locked.
Wander the peaceful streets adorned with shimmering Christmas lights, enjoy a festive meal or a pint at one of London’s restaurants and pubs, or take a festive tour of London on this very magical day.
Just because it’s Christmas weekend, that doesn’t mean London shuts down completely. You can stroll around, go ice skating, attend church services and more.
Explore London as everyone gathers to celebrate Christmas Day and experience a different side of the city. Happy Holidays!
