Between Palm Sunday and the Second Sunday of Easter every year, Christians celebrate the feast of Saint George. St. George’s Day festivities are hundreds of years old, with the feast day commemorating George’s death back in 303 A.D.
This year’s London celebrations take place on Saturday 22nd April, the day before St George’s Day which is on 23rd April.
Decorated in red and white for England’s national day, the square is lined with stalls selling traditional English food, inspired by St George’s Day’s 13th-century origins as a national day of feasting.
Enjoy free entertainment on the main stage and food in the splendid banqueting area between the square’s fountains!
